  From looking backat my preliminary task I feel that the skills that we had to use helped us with our final product. For example we had to learn how to use the basic functions of a camera and premiere pro. This was useful because we were then comfortable using the buttons on the camera and different settings. Then when we progressed to the final product we were able to build on top of those skills and use more advanced settings. In relation to premiere pro we learnt how to put together a basic sequence and cut different sequences to fit together. However by the end of the final product we had begun to use many different functions on their as: sound and editing. We also learnt how to use and adjust the sound which we was not able to do in the beginning. We also added in different typography. Overview

  Sound • I spentmuch more time on my final product compared to the preliminary because the quality had to be better produced. • My preliminary product contained non diegetic sounds or music. Where as my final product ‘numb’ had slow suspenseful music so I was able to create a lot of emotions and invoke those of the main character. An example of this was the main back track in my movie opening.

  • From comparingthe two products I can also identity some other small changes that I made compared to the preliminary product. • For example Editing- which included changing the colors on certain clips, adding in different video transitions( such as jump cuts, transition fades slides and zooms. This was also something that I did not have the skills for when we were doing the preliminary task) and cutting up the different sequences and placing them together. • The fact that we had credits in the opening is also a huge development as the preliminary had no text at all.

  Camera/location • In comparisonto the preliminary product we used more advance camera skills. For example in the preliminary we used basic camera shots such as: full shots and close ups where as in the final product we experimented with different angles and camera movements. • Our preliminary product was filmed in one location where as our final product was filmed in many different locations such as in ally ways and parks. This allowed us to tell more of a story so that the audience could know more about the demographics. • From filming in different locations we was also able to see the different lighting where as the preliminary has only one kind of lighting.
