This study investigates the impact of partial and incremental implementation of the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model on care quality and costs within 2,432 primary care practices in Michigan. Findings indicate that full PCMH implementation correlates with improved quality scores and reduced costs for adults, while incremental improvements also yield positive effects but do not significantly lower costs for either adults or pediatric populations. Overall, greater levels of PCMH implementation are associated with enhanced care quality and lower costs, suggesting that even partial implementation can provide benefits.
