INTRODUCTION
• What is MS Azure?
Microsoft azure (formerly windows Azure) is cloud computing service created by
Microsoft for building, testing, deploying and managing application and services
through Microsoft managed data centers.
• What is Azure Time Series Insights Preview?
Azure Time Series Insights Preview is an end-to-end platform-as-a-service (PaaS)
offering. It's used to collect, process, store, analyze, and query highly contextualized,
time-series-optimized IoT-scale data
PROBLEM STATEMENTS
• difficulty of storing time series data by IoT devices
• difficulty of visualizing time series data by IoT devices
• difficulty of managing time series data by IoT devices
• difficulty of querying time series data by IoT devices
OBJECTIVES
• Solving the following problems using cloud
• difficulty of storing time series data by IoT devices
• difficulty of visualizing time series data by IoT devices
• difficulty of managing time series data by IoT devices
• difficulty of querying time series data by IoT devices
OVERVIEW: MICROSOFT
• Microsoft is an American multinational technology company with headquarters in
Remond Washington.
• It develops, manufactures, licenses, support, and sells computer software, consumer
electronics, personal computers and related services.
• Its best known software products are the Microsoft windows line of operating
systems, the Microsoft office suite, and the internet explorer and edge web browser.
OVERVIEW: MICROSOFT AZURE
• Microsoft Azure (formerly windows Azure) is a cloud computing service created by
Microsoft for building, testing, deploying and managing applications and services
through Microsoft managed data centers.
• It provide software as a service(SaaS)
• Platform as service (PaaS)
• And infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and supports many different programming
languages
OVERVIEW: MICROSOFT AZURE TIME
SERIES INSIGHTS
• Microsoft Azure SQL database is the cloud based version of Microsoft SQL server,
presented as platform as a service offering on Microsoft Azure
• It is a software product with the primary function of storing and retrieving data as
requested by other software applications which may run either on the same
computer or another computer across the network (including the internet).
• Microsoft market at least a dozen different editions of Microsoft SQl server, aimed
at different audiences and for work load ranging from small single-machine
applications to large internet-facing applications with many concurrent users
METHODOLOGY
To evaluate and review the best PaaS providers, Azure started with a list of more
than 35 cloud computing companies. This list was based on prior companies
reviewed, industry leaders, companies reviewed by other review websites, etc. MS
Azure evaluated languages supported, pricing structure, cloud type and whether it
integrated with other solutions.
After whittling the list down to 25 companies, they evaluated each one based on its
support, specific languages, pricing plans and basic PaaS services offered. they also
considered whether each company had been previously reviewed, was open source or
was a low code platform. When they reached the final 10 companies, they did an even
deeper dive into their service offering, analyzing customer reviews, server-side
Azure Time Series Insights for industrial IoT
• The current IoT landscape is diverse. Customers span the manufacturing,
automotive, energy, utilities, smart buildings, and consulting industries. Scenarios
include ad hoc data exploration where the shape of the data is unknown.
also include operational analysis over schematized, or explicitly modeled, data to
drive operational efficiency. These scenarios typically exist side by side and support
different use cases. Platform capabilities that are key to the success of industrial IoT
enterprises and their digital revolution include:
a. Multilayered storage, both warm and cold.
b. The ability to store decades' worth of time series data.
c. The ability to explicitly model and optimize queries for asset-based operational
intelligence.
d. Time Series Insights is a comprehensive, end-to-end PaaS offering for IoT data
exploration and operational insights. Time Series Insights offers a fully managed
cloud service for analyzing IoT-scale time series data.
• Get enterprise-grade security and support
Time Series Insights is ISO-certified and backed by a 99.9-percent Service Level
Agreement (SLA). Single sign-on, multifactor authentication, and seamless
management of millions of identities are built-in through Azure Active Directory,
which also gives you role-based access control for access management.
To summarize, here are the main advantages of adding this tool to our project:
• Reducing the number of services, and therefore costs – thanks to replacing Stream
Analytics and databases which we no longer needed
• Simplicity – the whole logic of data aggregation is prepared in one tool
• Real-time analytics – there is a live data preview via line graph and a heat map
• Flexibility – the solution is accessible via APIs
• Visualize insights with our world-class, web-based user experience
Start interacting with your data without having to write a single line of code. Time
Series Insights Explorer provides a rich and intuitive user inteface to visualize data
and spot trends and anomalies fast. The app combines asset-based data insights
with ad-hoc data analytics, enabling you to view real-time and historical data
simultaneously.
• Integrate Time Series Insights into your apps and solutions
Integrate time series data into your existing applications or create new custom
solutions with the Time Series Insights Apache Parquet-based flexible storage system
and REST APIs. Add Time Series Insights into existing workflows and integrate
advanced analytics and machine learning models for predictive analytics.
• Scale your IoT solutions to suit your business needs
With scalable infrastructure and pay-as-you-go pricing, Time Series Insights gives
you the flexibility to choose data processing, query, and storage options separately.
Our comprehensive IoT analytics platform with scalable billing enables you to focus
on your enterprise IoT solutions and changing business needs.
State of the Industry
• PaaS services offer a combination of IaaS and software-as-a-service (SaaS) features. Like
IaaS, PaaS is used to develop web and mobile applications using a wide array of
components, ranging from programming languages and application servers to message
queues and databases. Like SaaS, these components are preconfigured and maintained by
the service provider and typically offered as multi-tenancy services.
• IaaS providers offer commodity services, such as virtual machines and block storages that
are sometimes difficult to differentiate from competitors’ offerings. PaaS vendors offer
higher level services and therefore have more opportunity to offer specialized services and
focus on a particular type of developer. For example, a Java PaaS provider might offer well
integrated Java application server, source code management, and continuous integration
tools. Other PaaS providers may target developers using multiple languages by offering
support for PHP, Ruby, Python, Perl and other popular web development languages.
• The increasing importance of mobile applications presents another area in which PaaS
providers can differentiate their product lines from those of other vendors.

CONCLUSION
• When you’re dealing with thousands or more of IoT devices, it is difficult to
monitor them all at once. However, using the new technology from Microsoft,
Azure Time Series Insights, it is possible to organize your data and analyze them
in a relatively simple way. It can help you find device issues early and enable
features like predictive maintenance.
• Azure Time Series Insights can solve your problems with fast data aggregation and
monitoring. It is a great tool that helps you reduce the number of services and
prepare architecture.
THE COMPANY THAT USED AZURE CLOUD
• APPLE ICLOUD
• Apple Icloud is an essential components across apple universe. You use It to share
cloud drive files, sync contacts, devices and other personal data, to access a range
apple’s services and to access key apps like photo and mail. You can also make use
of limited collaboration and sharing features.
• Why Apple icloud uses Microsoft Azure:
1. Lack of sorage
2. They want storage that is unlimited
3. Lack of powering service to the world wide
There archievement on using the Azure
With the use of the Azure the have a huge amount of space in the cloud so that
they can distribute there services in a more efficient way. And they now have an
unlimited service storage.
THANK
YOU!
