This document summarizes a study about the role and effectiveness of visual merchandising in appealing to customers. The study was conducted by researchers at Birla Institute of Technology in Bahrain. It aims to understand how stores use visual merchandising and what factors influence their decisions. The researchers surveyed stores and customers to learn how visual merchandising is used to attract customers and influence purchases. Their findings suggest that stores need attractive window displays, proper layouts, and appealing visual themes to draw in customers. Proper lighting and display themes were identified as particularly important aspects of effective visual merchandising.
