My occupational identity
Olivia Hall has been playing netball since she was 5 years old and also rowed competitively for three years from 2006 to 2009. She spends a lot of her time helping youth in her community and being a positive role model for her friends. Olivia also makes an effort to spend time with her family and values loyalty and integrity in her relationships. She is currently studying Occupational Therapy and believes her education and qualifications will impact her life. Olivia's faith is also an important part of her identity, as she attends church regularly.

- 2. I beganplaying netball as a 5 year old and have been playing ever since although now, just socially.
- 3. I rowedfor three years from 2006 – 2009 and it dominated my life during that time. It was a huge learning curve and was a defining time in my life.
- 4. I spend alot of time doing stuff for youth, preparing for Friday nights, hanging out with my girls or helping them out with what ever is happening in their lives while trying to be the most positive role model I can be.
- 5. I spend timewith my family when I can and make an effort to visit them when they’re in town or I drive to visit them myself.
- 6. Spending time withfriends and doing what I can for them is an important part of my occupational identity because I am very social and being able to call myself loyal and a person of integrity is very important to me.
- 7. Although I don’tnecessarily always enjoy study I’m very lucky to be able to receive an education and my qualifications will forever define my life.
- 8. This is aprogramme that is run every Wednesday night for youth in south Dunedin. Its an opportunity for us leaders to build relationships with the kids to be able to be positive role models in their lives.
- 9. Going to churchis a huge part of my occupational identity due to its link with m beliefs. This is where a lot of my friends and I hang out and where I learn more about God.
- 10. I am currentlystudying a degree in Occupational Therapy and it is something that will change the way that I think and perceive the world.
- 11. Going to thegym doesn’t always happen as frequently as I would hope but it’s really important to me that I stay fit and healthy, going to the gym is part of how I do that.
