- 2. TV Drama Overview • The tv drama I will be creating is teen drama. My tv drama is about a group of friends who, one summer, find one of their friends has gone missing. The cause of her disappearance was completely unknown, until, slowly, secrets begin to surface that could change everything.
- 3. Character 1 • In this tv drama there will be a group of 5 teenagers. • The first character is the typical popular guy, the one that is into sports and is well liked. • He is tall , and has dark hair, well built, he is admired by a lot of people and is known by everyone. • This character has a relaxed personality, he is funny and projects a positive attitude towards life. He is seen as a happy person and that is why he is so well liked. • However, this character struggles with keeping up the appearance of the 'perfect guy' that he presents to everyone. He constantly feels as though he is trying to be someone he is not. • They live a comfortable life, with one other younger sibling and parents that are always pushing for his success.

Character 2 • The first female character is a teenage girl who is sensible and focused on her studies. • She has short brown hair, a pretty girl that wears glasses and always has a book in her hand. • She is a very sensible person. She has a fun-loving personality, but always is rational when making decisions and is always looking out for her friends. She, however, likes to be in control because of her organized nature. • She struggles with not feeling good enough, and no matter how hard she works she feels as though it doesn’t pay off, she is driven by success but is always second best when it comes to her studies, and life. And she isn't always as in control as she is seen to be.

Character 3 • The next character in the group is the outgoing charcter. • She is average height, blond and beautiful and is always good fun. • She loves to party and have a good time, there is never a dull moment when you are around this character, she is the daredevil of the group and would never turn down a challenge. She is very caring and is always there for her closest friends. • Something that this character struggles with is being able to open up to people as she is always seen as someone who is always having a good time.

Character 4 • Character 4 is well liked and is very relaxed and easy going. • He is a smaller guy, brunette hair and has a very cool fashion sense. • He is into his music and enjoys spending quality time with his closest friends. He is someome you can easily talk to and is good company and is also very approachable. Furthermore, he is a hardworker. • This character doesn’t struggle with a lot, he has a good family life and has a lot of freiends arround him, he is useally the one people go to to talk about their problems, which, however, can sometimes be heavy on him.

Character 5 • The 5th and final character is the last female charater in the tv dma but the most significant charater. • She is popular with a lot of people, very attractive and has a loveable personality. A lot of people look up to her. • She is a happy person and is always very positive on her outlook at life. However, she can be secretive and intruiging. • Because she is so secretive even her closest friends don’t know her darkest struggles, and her dark past which makes her a mysterious character.
- 8. Branding For my TV drama I want the branding to capture the theme and mood of the drama and create an impact and a mood for the audience to initially understand. The key theme that I want to be understood through the branding is the theme of mystery. The drama is centred around the dissapearance of one of the group members so there is a sense of fear and the unknown. The first thing I wanted to look into was what will be a good colour scheme to choose to help present a sense of mytery. The colour purple was promenant in projecting a sense of mystery, however, I feel as though it it isnt an eyecatching colour that would interest veiwers. Black seemed to portray mystery as well. This showed me that the theme of my branded needed to be using darker, moody colours to effectively create the correct mood for the drama.
- 9. Branding I then went and looked at other TV dramas with a similar theme and I wanted to look at the fonts they used in their title and how that created an atmosphere and a mood. After looking at all of these titles, it showed me that they are very different styles, but all of them are distinguised and recognisable. "You" is about a stalker, and the text used, to me, looks like a glitch on a screen which fits well with the idea of being watched. Furthermore, "Pretty Little Liars' has an elegant and pretty font fitting well with the idea of being pretty, however, it is an oldfashioned font which gives it a more s inister feel. For my TV drama, I want a harsh and sharp font that stands out but is quite minimalisic. This is because, the more simple the font is, I think, the more mysterious drama will come across.
- 10. Initial ideas for 3 minute opening In the opening, the narritive of the TV drama will be clearly established, as one of the frieneds will have gone missing. Furthermore, in the opening the charcters sterotypes will be established and their general personalities will be seen but not too much of a deep insight into the charcters will be shown as that will create suspense. Finally, the genre of a teen drama will be clearly established due to the characters and the background and settings. At the beginning of the opening I want there to be a shot of everyone seperately, a medium shot, and then a long shot of everyone when they are reuniting back at school, then there will be a flash back to 4 months ago, to the time of the dissapearance, introducing us to our final character. This will be the first time all the characters have been together since the time of the dissapearance. One of the others had been keeping something from them all summer, a text from the missing friend. This TV drama introduction willengage the audience as it will be left in suspense, the audience will want to know how and why she went missing, who was behind it, what secrets have been kept, and that is what will make people want to watch it.
- 11. Initial ideas for website The website will firstly have a link to ITV2 as that is the channel that the drama will be shown on. It will have a navigation bar that will have web links to epsiodes, characters, and clips. I want the website to be intersting for younger veiwers so will include quizzes, interviews with charcters, and a podcast. There will be a hero image and also the TV drama heading which will further interest the veiwer as it will have a photo of the characters. As there will be extra content on here such as interviews with characters and unseen clips, this will interest the audience as it will make them feel more connected with the characters and start to build a relationship with them.
