  LCMS Hmong Youth Greetingsto all LCMS members, How are you guys doing? Hopefully you all had a Merry Christmas and took the time to remember the birth of Jesus, which is the true meaning of Christmas. We would just like inform you all on what we have been doing as well as what ideas we have come up with for the this year’s Conference. If there is anything you guys would like to suggest, we encourage you to let us know. Happy holidays from the Youth Board! What the Youth Board has been up to? First of all, as college students, we have been busy with our studies of course. However, we still manage to Skype once a month to plan exciting activities for the upcoming Conference. On top of that we visited some churches and will visit more in the future. Upcoming Events to look forward too Easter- 4/7/11 Conference – 6/19-21/12 Birth of Jesus Christ Christmas 2011 Conference 2012 When : July 19-21, 2012 Where : Our Savior Lutheran Church 7910 E. St. Joe Hwy Lansing, MI 48917 Theme: “Prepare the way for the Lord” Passage: Luke 3:4 “…A voice of one calling in the desert, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.” Price: $10 per person (12 yrs and above) $40 for Family with more than 4 people registers

  Conference 2012 cont. Asmembers of the conference youth board, we decided that in order to encourage other LCMS youth members to come to conference this year we should visit the different LCMS churches. So far we have visited: Benediction Lutheran Church (Milwaukee): Here we were given the opportunity to join their church picnic service. Hmong Hope Lutheran Church (Milwaukee): Here we participated in their Sunday school and church service. Churches we visited Last Conference Activities – Ice Breaker Page 2 of 2 Hmong Redeemer Lutheran Church (Manitowoc): Here we joined their church service and afterwards we celebrated Pastor’s Day with the church members by having a feast. Verses of the month Proverbs 30:4 Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know! Jesus, the Son of God Old Testament – Prophesied Luke 1:31-33 “…And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” New Testament – Fulfilled Mark your calendar my brother and sister in Christ, for the big event next year. Yes, you have to pay to come but it’ll be worth it! The Youth Board has some much fun activities planned. So look forward to the day it comes.
