Notes from Cloud Computing CourseJune 3, 2010<br />Google Wave – alternative to email system<br />Waves include participants instead of recipients, single hosted conversation with multiple contributors in real time – in-line gadgets and bots to increase interactivity and ability for private threads.
- 2. Who has the right to delete and alter? You can move a wave into your trash but can’t permanently delete it.
- 3. Follow: Allows for an RSS type feed to track new changes etc.
- 4. Archived: Can still follow if archived so it doesn’t appear on your screen, or you can un-follow and archive to get rid of it.
- 5. Ping – Google term for instant messaging.
- 6. Whoever created the wave allows for full access or read only access. Allows for controlled permissions at various levels. Still in the creation stage, so watch for updates and revisions.
