The Riversleigh fossil site is a part of the Boodjamulla National Park. The site was World Heritage

Gender Wage Gap And Gender Inequality
Throughout history, discrimination has wielded its ugly head in many different forms. Things such
as, but not limited to, race, religion, appearance, beliefs and gender have consistently oppressed
minorities. A continual discrimination that the women of the world are dealing with takes place in
what has been promised to be a fair and unprejudiced environment: the work place. This issue deals
with women not being paid the same amount of money as men even though they may be equally, if
not more so, trained, educated and qualified for jobs. This historically stems from women being the
traditional caregivers or homemakers while men tended to be the breadwinners of the household.
This difference in pay based on genderis called the Gender Wage Gap. The Gender Wage Gap is
the difference in working pay earned by men and then working pay earned by women. The
conventional way to look at the gender wage gap is to compare full time salaries earned by both
of the genders. Up until the 1950 s, it was accepted that men and women were paid different

are known as the provider. Alyssa, Brittany and Haley all scored higher in extravert and feeling.
Having a higher percentage in extravert and feeling shows that they interact better with others and
make decisions using subjective values. Brittany Scott also had a high score in sensing, which

The ordinary low power E I core transformer is used to get required voltage. It is basically step
down transformer, which reduce the voltage from mains supply depending upon the output voltage.
The rectifier sections convert AC into DC. The rectifier is designed using four 1N 4007 diode. It
is a bridge type rectifier, which give full cycle conduction output. The capacitor based filter
section smooth the rippled DC and make it as pure DC. The smoothing level is increased by

Introduction
During my time observing the Summer Scholars Program, I witnessed many topics that I have
studied from the book throughout class come to life. I saw the diversity of the students, and got to
involve myself in teacher student interaction. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivators played a big part
in the lessons. The students were involved in discussions small group and whole group. I also
realized how important teacher efficacy is and what a large role it plays in the rapport of the
classroom.

The instructor played a song by Eminem, and a trailer from his movie. Afterwards, she explained
the lyrics of the song, and held a discussion about how the artist did not let his geography define
his destiny. I thought this was such a great idea. The students were then given an Ipad and asked to
look up a song that meant the most to them, and they would be able to play the song and share it
with the class. This directly exemplified motivation/incentive to me. It was motivation, in the sense
that they wanted to use the Ipad and look up music to show the class their favorite song. Intrinsic
motivation to be exact. The Journal of Education For Business defines intrinsic motivation as an
activity whose initial impulse originates from self motivation , (Rassuli, 2012, 86.) This was
obviously portrayed, because the students liked the activity they were participating in, so they
voluntarily did it without any prize or reward at the end. I also saw examples of extrinsic
motivation during my time there. A short quiz was done at the beginning of class based on the
lesson from the previous day. Each student was given a card that said true or false, and was asked
to hold up his or her answer when the question was asked. The game started off slow, it was the
end of the day and the students were just not cooperating. The teacher then said, You will get a
prize if you win, it s behind this box. Just like that, the students started throwing their signs up and
trying to beat each other for the right answers. I learned that intrinsic and extrinsic motivations and

Analysis Of Roy Mottahedeh s The Mantle Of The Prophet Essay
Roy Mottahedeh is a Gruney Professor at Harvard University, where he teaches pre modern
social and intellectual history of the Middle East and is an expert on Iranian culture. Mottahedeh
started his higher level education journey at Harvard College at which he studied history, he then
received a bachelor s degree in Persian and Arabic at Cambridge University. While teaching at
Princeton University, Mottahedeh wrote his first book Loyalty and Leadership in an early Islamic
Society in 1980, followed by the McArthur reward that allowed him to release The Mantle of the
Prophet in 1985.
Mottahedeh writes a historical political story about the life of a Shi ite boy who grew up to
become a mullah. Mottehedeh refers to the boy as Ali Hashemi which is a fictional name for the
mullah himself. He mentions the various trends and events that occurred in the past half
millennium that built up to the revolution that took place in 1979. In doing so, he manages to
characterize the history and politics of Iran by telling the story of Ali Hashemi.
Mottahedeh attempts to focus on the importance of the education and how the travels of Ali and
many other Mullahs to the West helped create a new system of education in Iran. In addition, he
shows the style of Persian culture that revolutionary Iran was trying to abolish and at the same time,
provides a clear understanding to the reader about how Iranians felt about the various governments

I woke up to the irritating ring of my alarm, the smell of French toast lingering through the air,
and the feeling of a spider crawling up my arm. It started out like any other day, but I was wired
