This document proposes the Food Stocker concept, a nutrition management network that would allow consumers to track their food purchases and nutritional intake, see what foods their neighbors purchase, and connect with others who have similar food preferences. The concept is intended to help consumers make better nutritional choices through awareness, action, and accountability. A scenario walks through how a user might interact with the Food Stocker system. Several service models and next steps are discussed, including prototyping and user testing.
