This study proposes an optimization approach for integrating photovoltaic distributed generation (pv-dg) into the green building rating system (gbrs) for Malaysian public hospitals, focusing on reducing total line losses. Utilizing the artificial bee colony (abc) algorithm, the research identifies optimal pv-dg capacity and location to enhance energy performance. Results indicate significant reductions in power losses across different hospital levels, highlighting the necessity for reassessing renewable energy parameters in gbrs for more effective integration.
