The webinar on 'pathways to patient engagement' revealed insights from 300 U.S. primary care physicians (PCPs) regarding their participation in patient engagement activities. While 61% participate, many expressed barriers such as time and cost, with nearly 40% not engaging at all, often due to unfamiliarity with the term. Increased patient involvement was recognized as the primary benefit, yet significant gaps and opportunities for improving understanding and implementation in patient engagement were identified.
