This document evaluates the performance of OSPF and RIP routing protocols on IPv4 and IPv6 networks using the G.711 codec, emphasizing the transition from traditional PSTN to VoIP. It discusses the limitations of IPv4, the advantages of IPv6 for VoIP, and the importance of routing efficiency and convergence times for maintaining call quality. The comparative analysis highlights that OSPF generally provides better performance for VoIP services compared to RIP, particularly in scenarios of network failure.
