Defining Personas
1
3
What is a Persona? What do they do?
◈ Represntation of ideal or prototypical end users, based on
behaviors and motivations of real people
◈ No stereotypical assumptions
◈ Helps in building user centric products
◈ Helps empathize
4
Three types of personas exist:
◈ Non users
◈ User
◈ Anti Persona
Types of Personas
Consider an Aircraft Manufacturing company trying to sell an
aircraft. Give different types of Personas the company need to
consider.
Example in Airline Industry(We shall be using this example throughout this
presentation)
User Persona
Pilots Passengers
Non User Persona
Businessmen
Three types of personas exist:
◈ Specify what you don’t do or don’t sell
◈ Which customers are a good fit and which are a bad fit for
your company
◈ “Bad fit” Persona
◈ Fewer failures in business to contend with if you’re only
serving the people who match your time, talents and
products. Hence it is a person that YOU have to define.
How to define your Anti-Persona?
