Pezzetino (true colors revised with text and pictures)
The story is about a small character named Pezzetino who believes he must be a "little piece" of one of the larger animals he sees. He asks each animal if he is their missing piece, but they all respond that they could not perform their abilities if they were missing a piece. Pezzetino goes to see the wise one, who tells him to travel to the Island of Wham. On the island, made of pebbles with no plants or animals, Pezzetino tumbles and breaks into pieces, realizing he too is made of little pieces like the others. Relieved to discover his own identity, Pezzetino returns home happily.
His name wasPezzetino. All the others were big and did daring and wonderful things. He was small and surely must be a little piece of somebody else, he thought. He often wondered whose little piece he could be, and one day he decided to find out.
