Reflect on this:
Who am I as a Manager and
what are my
responsibilities ?
As a manager I must be
responsible for my teams’
productivity, morale, and well-
being. I will work with them as
a team to set goals and
priorities while providing
feedback and coaching.
Additionally, As manager I also
oversee the budget and handle
day-to-day operations.
Understanding manager roles
and responsibilities is a great
way to become an effective
manager.
Managers must provide
constructive criticism, give
praise when due, and delegate
responsibilities appropriately.
They need to stay on top of
daily tasks without
micromanaging, keep track of
schedules and deadlines, and
communicate effectively.
Furthermore, managers should
have a solid understanding of
basic management skills,
including scheduling meetings
and handling employee
performance reviews.
How can I Remain
Authentic?
To remain
authentic, focus on self-
awareness, align your
actions with your values,
and practice vulnerability
and honesty. This involves
understanding your core
values, recognizing your
emotions, and being mindful
of how you present yourself
to the world.
Here's a more detailed
breakdown:
Know Yourself:
Reflect on your values,
passions, and what truly
matters to you. Identify your
strengths and weaknesses,
and be honest with yourself
about your limitations.
Be Mindful:
Pay attention to your
emotions and how you react
in different
situations. Mindfulness can
help you become more
aware of your thoughts and
feelings, allowing you to
respond authentically rather

when it feels uncomfortable
or risky. Don't be afraid to
show your true self,
including your imperfections
and vulnerabilities.
Communicate
Honestly:
Be truthful in your
interactions with others, but
also be respectful and
kind. Honesty builds trust
and strengthens
relationships.
Set Boundaries:
Learn to say no to things
that don't align with your
values or that drain your
energy. Protect your time
and energy by setting
healthy boundaries with
others.
Seek Feedback:
Actively seek feedback from
trusted individuals who can
offer constructive

identify areas where you
may be unconsciously
compromising your
authenticity.
