Planning For My Teaser Trailer My Narrative : A man get's obsessed by watching horror films that he starts to go round killing people. The killings that he performs are replicas of what he has seen in a horror film. Two cops have the order to track down this crazed psychopath before any more people get killed. There is also a twist in the trailer. - Location - Actors & Characters - Costumes - Props By Daniel Reilly
Locations A Location is one of the most important parts of a trailer as it helps to create a scary atmosphere. I chose locations that were accessible by the general public as my killer was not worried of being seen only being caught. This allowed him to be able to get away from the scene quick. When I started to research my locations to use, I was looking for areas that were convenient to get too and that fit what I had in mind. The photos below are the locations that I found and are the one's that I used. This location is a public wooded area in Plumstead. This location is going to be used for the sleeping bag scene where the hooded killer attacks a individual sleeping against the tree by throwing him up against the lamppost This location was Ideal as looks similar to the scene in 'Friday the 13 th ' which is where the killer is re enacting the killing from. This location is a public wooded area in the same area as the first location. It was used for the scene where the killer and a member of the public meet and the killer slits the persons throat. This was the perfect location for this scene as no one walks past during the night. This Location is used with the running scene. This location was chosen because it leads away from woodland and so is the ideal place for someone to wrong.
Locations Con'td This location is inside my friends house. This location will be used for the scene where Detective Mason speaks about the Images of the Dead Bodies. This wall was used for the photographs as I can easily edit it to make it look like a blank white canvas which looks like a whiteboard.
Actors & Characters This actor (Paul) will be playing Detective Lawrence. His role is to investigate the killings and to try and to capture the culprit before he strikes again. This actor (James) will be playing One of the victims. He plays the victim who gets his neck slashed when he is met by the killer. As a different character he also plays the Hooded Killer This actor and director (Daniel) plays the hooded killer. He is the crazed psychopath who goes around carrying out the killings to re enact what he saw in a movie. In a bizarre twist he also plays Detective Mason. Can you guess the twist yet?
Costumes This is the costume directly worn by Detective Mason. Detective Lawrence also wears similar clothes. I chose these types of clothes for the characters because as detectives they need to be smartly dressed. It also makes them distinguishable from the victims and the killer This is the costume directly worn by the hooded killer. This hooded jumper allows the killer to be distinctively recognized and because of its dark colour, allows the jumper to be associated with death. The victims are going to wear any old clothes as they can be easily distinguished by the action that happens to them during the trailer etc..
