OBJECTIVE
 This project is mainly related with off-grid application.
 The objective is to supply water to the fields by using solar
power as the main source.
 In this the user can water fields from anywhere by using
GSM technique.
EXISTING SYSTEM
 In the existing systems the power generation is carried out by
the conventional energy sources.
 This conventional energy sources causes greenhouse gases
emission which leads to the global warming.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
 In the proposed systems the power generation is carried out by
the renewable energy sources.
 Useful in remote locations where a steady fuel supply is not
possible.
 Providing a adequate and quality power to domestic and other
consumers.

8051 MICRO CONTROLLER
A micro controller is an integrated on chip with a
processor.
Other support devices like program memory, data
memory, I/O ports, serial communication interface etc
integrated together.
A microcontroller does not require any external
interfacing of support devices.
GSM MODEM
 GSM-Global System for Mobile Communications
 A GSM modem is a wireless modem that works with a GSM
wireless network. A wireless modem behaves like a dial-up
modem.
MAX 232
 The MAX 232 is an IC.
 converts signals from an RS-232 serial port to signals suitable
for use in TTL compatible digital logic circuits.
 The MAX232 is a dual driver/receiver and typically converts
the RX, TX, CTS and RTS signals.
SOLAR PANEL
•Solar panel refers to a photovoltaic module.
•Solar modules use light energy (photons) from
the sun to generate electricity.
•Ranges from 100 to 320 watts.
Photovoltaic cell performs basically 3
operation:
1.The absorption of light, generating
either electron-hole pairs or excitons.
2.The separation of charge carriers of opposite
types.
3.The separate extraction of those
Carriers to an external circuit.
PUMPING MOTOR
 A water pump is any device for moving water.
 exists in an enormous variety of styles.
Some uses of water pumps include:
1. Obtaining water from ground wells for drinking, cooking, and other
purposes.
2. Moving water in active solar heating systems.
LCD DISPLAY
 Liquid-crystal display - LCD.
 LCD uses the light modulating properties of liquid crystals.
 LCDs are available to display arbitrary , fixed images preset
words, digits, and 7-segment displays as in a digital clock.

WORKING OF THE PROJECT:
 This project gives information about off-grid irrigation
system.
 The farmer (user) can water the fields from any place.
 This project uses linear programming.
 Using this system, one can save manpower, as well as
water to improve productivity.

 Easily diagnosis the surrounding environment.
