Lalbagh Fort, an incomplete Mughal palace fortress in Dhaka, was started by Prince Muhammad Azam in 1678 but remained unfinished due to his recall. The fort houses the tomb of Bibi Pari, a mosque, and the Diwan-i-Aam, and has recently undergone excavations revealing more structures. Today, it is a key tourist attraction in Dhaka, drawing nearly 3 million visitors annually.
