The Clients Walk-in clients – IRRI staff, students and faculty from UP and other universities, researchers from other organizations, the public Everyone is welcome to use our facilities as long as space permits Remote clients – Scientists from more than 40 countries all over the world are the recipients of our services .
Resources- Rice Literature This Library has the world’s most comprehensive collection of  technical rice literature ,  both published and unpublished, and written in more than 80 languages by scientists worldwide.
Resources – Other Subjects Aside from rice,  publications on agriculture and related subjects in the social, natural and applied sciences are also available
Monographs 159,000+ volumes of books,    pamphlets and reprints classified according to the Library   of Congress (LC) Classification   System  with  slight modifications   to cover all aspects of the subject    “rice” filed in the Book Stacks (lower    level)
Serials 1,500+ active journal titles Arranged alphabetically by title in the  Journal (upper) Stacks More than 500 Electronic Journals   (Full Text  access or TOC and    abstracts) LanTEEAL (The Essential Electronic  Agricultural Library)- 115 full text  basic agricultural titles available via   the LAN
Non-print Materials Maps Microfilm and Microfiche Videocassettes Computer Disks CD-ROM DVDs
Electronic Resources The Library’s web site, the online catalog and the rice database carry hyperlinks to full text electronic resources such as :  E- Journals & Newspapers (500+)   (full text articles) E-Reference Books (full text) Web Sites - Institutions and  Organizations  E-Databases – Special subject databases;    Catalogs of various libraries and    subject specialized databases
