Object pronouns
are words used
in place of your name
words or nouns that
receive the action or
that comes after the
action word.

When to use
pronoun “me”?
We use the pronoun me
for the person who is
speaking.
Example:
My mother gave me a
slice of cake.
When to use
pronoun “you”?
We use the pronoun you
for the person you are
speaking to.
Example:
Aunt Hilda gave you (Shane)
a birthday card.
She also gave you a
photo of us.
When to use
pronoun
“him/her”?
We use the pronoun him
for a male noun.
Example:
My father brought
my brother to the park.
My father brought
him an ice cream.
We use the pronoun her
for a female noun.
Example:
Mother kissed my sister on the
check.
Mother was glad to see her.
When to use

“it”?
We use the pronoun it for
a singular noun, or one
object, animal, or place.
Example:
Angel gave the letter to her
mom.
Her mom sent it to Jane.
When to use

“them”?
We use the pronoun them
for plural nouns, or more
than one persons, object,
animal, or place.
Example:
Jane met Luke and Olive in
school.
Jane plays with them after
school.
When to use

“us”?
We use the pronoun us if
the speaker/ the one that
is talking is included in
the group.
Example:
The teacher assigned me and
Richie to fix the books.
She asked us to put them in
the shelf.
