- 2. Candidate Name: GiacomoPisa Candidate Number: 3111 Prop Reason why/Inspiration Many rappers/Hip Hop artists are seen wearing a lot of gold jewelry. Therefore to emulate their success the model on the front of my magazine will also be wearing jewellery to attract more buyers to the magazine who follow the artists who are pictured wearing a lot of jewelry. An old school retro Adidas track jacket will feature as this is a fashionable piece of clothing and much of Hip Hop is fashion related. In addition to this the retro jacket fits in with the origins of Hip Hop from the 1980s attracting the older age range of my target audience but also nowadays many young people are wearing vintage clothing so they will also take note and buy the magazine if this piece features on the cover.
- 3. Candidate Name: GiacomoPisa Candidate Number: 3111 As well as Adidas Nike is also another fashionable company that many people wear today and also wore in the 1980s and the origins of Hip Hop. Therefore the magazine will appear fashionable to those looking at it and will encourage people to buy it. In addition to this many Hip Hop artists wear brands such as Nike and people will want to buy the product to be more like their idols. These glasses will also be a prop for my front cover as many of the world’s biggest Hip Hop artists frequently wear glasses. This is evident in the below picture of Ice Cube, one of the most recognizable names in Hip Hop.
- 4. Candidate Name: GiacomoPisa Candidate Number: 3111 Nike can also be used on the front of my magazine cover for advertisement purposes. Additionally many gangster rappers are pictured wearing caps these days so it fits in with the rap gang culture of Hip Hop. This is proven in the picture from the previous row of Ice Cube wearing a cap. The cap can also be used to represent an urban lifestyle that most people who listen and produce Hip Hop are part of, therefore the front cover will appeal to them and they will be likely to buy the magazine. I will be using a good quality ‘Canon’ camera to take the picture of my model for the front cover in the various Hip Hop attire because it will give a good quality and crisp image which will not require too much editing on Photoshop and will ensure that the cover looks very professional in appearance.

I will also use Photoshop to overlap the main image with the masthead. As a result of spending time editing the image the finished look will attract more people to purchase the magazine because a professionally completed product will appeal much more to the customer to one which looks rough and unfinished. As well as a professional appearance, I can also use Photoshop to add in any tattoos if I so wish as tattoos are not legal at my age but many rappers and Hip Hop artists are pictured with tattoos and they are seen on almost every gang member which fits in with the culture of Hip Hop.

Candidate Name: GiacomoPisa Candidate Number: 3111 I will be using Adobe InDesign to edit my DPS because InDesign because it is another programme which when filling in the information about the interview, the programme allows me to straight away put the interview into columns which is how interviews should be presented, therefore making it easier to use than Photoshop for this particular task.
