Lauren is seen as ‘the villain’ as she gets angry which connotes her
villainess nature because she wants alcohol and she is also rude to her
family at her sisters party which further connotes Laurens aggressive nature
which is anchored by the verbal code“I don’t need an ambulance I need a
drink!”
The female protagonist Laurens mum is ‘the hero’ as although she is scared
for her daughter who is going to hospital she is supporting her by showing
compassion by talking and hugging her daughter this is anchored by the
diegetic dialogue “I've got you, Mummy's got you.”
Lastly, the male protagonist Jack is ‘the donor’ as he supports Lauren by
looking after her by saying ‘Lauren come and sit down’ this shows he is
supporting Laurens mother the hero. It is anchored by the technical code of
the high angle shot of Jack wrapping his arms around Lauren.

Struggle- In the end of the episode the female protagonist Laurens
mum stairs at Laurens father looking angry and confused as they have
not been in a situation like this before with their children. This is
confirmed when the female protagonist says ‘its ok mummy's got you’
which is anchored by an over the shoulder shot of her face looking
angry at Laurens dad.
Magical agent- ‘The Hero’ seeks help from other characters who are
magical agents such as jack and the family as they phone the
emergency services and assist Lauren and help look after her brother.
Solution- The difficult task which is Laurens return who is ill and upset
which is resolved by calling the emergency services.

hurt people as he is struggling against ‘the hero’

from being hurt for example he says ‘come on Rich calm down’ this
shows he is seeks to help the situation and sought any drama out.
