The study investigates the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in poverty alleviation and community development in Gombe State, Nigeria, highlighting the challenges they face such as financial constraints and insecurity. Despite these issues, the study finds promising prospects for the NGOs due to high poverty levels and ongoing population growth, suggesting that collective action and better funding avenues could enhance their effectiveness. Recommendations include forming NGO associations and addressing governmental shortcomings to improve overall community development efforts.
