Q3
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Documentary
From feedback on the documentary I have learned that 100% of
people have understood and been able to follow it and that they
enjoyed different aspects of it such as: the interviews, cutaways and
opening title sequence. This has made me learn that me and my
group did this well and fully understood how to film interviews and
cutaways. They also felt that the documentary was easy to watch
also the audience had the opinion that our documentary was similar
to real ones for reasons such as the interviews being layed out
similar and looking realistic, music being similar and the cutaways
looking realistic too. When put on Facebook and YouTube I learned
that people thought it “was compiled together very well” and “I like
the bit with the hands texting…it kinda shows how one post on a site
can get around so many people so quick.” This helped helped me
learn that what we created was good and people have like it for
many different reasons that I even I did not think of whilst making
 and watching it.
Radio Trailer
From feedback on the radio trailer I have understood that the
audience considered it to be of good quality as all of them
said they would not change a thing. They also stated that the
trailer made them want to watch the documentary for
reasons like the information was relevant to them and they
wanted to hear the answer to the questions posed in the
trailer, two people even said they really liked the music so
wanted to watch the documentary. 100% of people further
said that the music used in the trailer and the documentary
was effective as it was relevant to the topic after hearing it
in the film „The Social Network‟ (2010). One negative aspect
was that just under one third of people asked said the
voiceover for both radio and documentary was boring so I
have learned that next time a person more suited to narration
 should be the voiceover.
Print Advert
From receiving feedback on the print advert I now know that 9 of 9
people found they would want to watch the documentary after seeing it.
4 because it was colorful, 3 because of the pun and 2 because they
thought it was clever. All 9 again said it was aesthetically pleasing and
colourful. When put on Facebook one person said “looks like a legit
channel 4 advert…very clever.” So from this I learned that a good job
must have been done and that we must have conformed to the
repertoire of elements for a print advert. Finally I learned that all three
products would make the audience want to watch the documentary for
its entirety. They all stated that it was intriguing. One third mentioned
the print advert had a good pun and 5 people said it linked well.
