Redwood Design + Construct Pty Limited (Redwood D+C) commenced in 1993 and continue
to enjoy success in the construction industry. The company proudly delivers commercial
fitout, refurbishment and construction projects, with extensive experience in both the
commercial and residential developments.
At Redwood D+C, our ethos is centred on the delivery of our client’s business objectives, i.e.

PROCESS

•• Undertake the risk management of your design and delivery of your fitout
•• Ensure work safety practices
•• Ensure accountability of our contractors/sub trades to ensure they are financially stable
and have the necessary insurance in order to undertake and complete their work
•• Being responsible for the financial administration of all trades associated with the clients
project
•• Undertake a comprehensive depreciation schedule for client records.
Our Design and Construction Management process gives the client a single point of contact;
the CM process entails the following:
INITIAL PROJECT SET UP
•• Work with the client to establish preliminary budgets associated with the initial project
drawings.
•• Collate the required lessor documentation regarding building standards, rules & regula-
tions, work letter, utilisation of approved building contractors, building CAD drawings,
lessor/client communications and more.
•• Recommend and appoint project consultants (e.g. architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire
services, hydraulic plus) by way of a tender process.
•• We would advise and recommend the appointment of a Private Certifier.
DESIGN PROCESS
Manage client/designer collaboration
•• Project programming & scheduling
•• Undertake and qualify site measurement assessments
•• Manage the design brief within the design conventions ensuring budget and expectations
align
•• Confirming local building codes and regulations align
•• Lodge and obtain the relevant DA and CC or CDC approvals including the building owner
approval
•• Address any design variation
•• Manage the selection of finishes and furniture together with the preparation of sample
boards
•• Coordination of engineering services with design and architectural disciplines
THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
The responsibility of Redwood D+C
•• Manage agreed regular meetings of the team consultants
•• Negotiate and finalise quotations from all contractors to ensure the project remains within
budget.
•• Engage successful contractors
•• Identify any defective or missing landlord items prior to site handover
•• Monitor the quality and progress of project works
•• Approve progress payments and assess variation claims ensuring they are in line with
budget expectations.
•• Attend regular site inspections to ensure quality is matching progress
•• Manage contractor instructions and ensure appropriate certificates are obtained
•• Obtain occupation certification and provide as built drawings, maintenance manuals and
appropriate documentation following project completion.

CONSTRUCT
Refurbishment is a combination of the construction and fitout service lines. The projects
are predominantly external or structural and can also be internal or cosmetic.
Our refurbishment expertise has a reputation for high quality in:

overhauls, services upgrades and compliance management.

Makegood, Churn and change eventually affect all forms of the construction process, whether
it is interior fitout or refurbishment. It can involve technology infrastructure and mechanical
services.
We understand clients require ongoing support to manage and occasionally alter their built
environment. Change does result from changes to business strategy, mergers and acquisitions,
real estate costs, evolving technologies, developing staff. These all contribute to churn and
change requirements.
Redwood D+C has the experience to manage the disruptive nature of this change, which is
