1. The Ayodhya dispute is a political, historical and
religious debate in India , it is on a plot of land in the
ayodhaya
2. The main issue of the site is it is traditionally regarded
as the birthplace of the Hindu god Rama, the location of
Babri Mosque at the site, and if a previous Hindu temple
was demolished or modified to create a mosque.
3. The Babri mosque was destroyed by Hindu activist
during a political rally which turned into a riot on
December 6,1992.
4. Later a land case was lodged in the Allahabad HC, the
verdict of which was pronounced on September 30,2010.

a rath yatra, which is considered directly responsible for
two outcomes—the demolition of Babri Masjid on 6
December 1992 and the rise of the BJP to power.
Kalyan Singh - Uttar Pradesh chief minister’s duty to
ensure the safety of the Babri Masjid. But Singh’s
reputation is forever sullied by the misleading
statements he made in the run-up
P.V. Narasimha Rao - It is believed Rao had the option to
impose central rule in Uttar Pradesh in July and had
even sought a contingency plan to protect the mosque.

broke the country into pieces. Indians were divided

Ram Rahim initially supported
the Indian National Congress. The
Dera Sacha Sauda supported
Congress in the 2007 Punjab state
election, and helped the party take
control of the Malwa region.
Before the 2012 Punjab state
elections, the Congress
leader Cpt.Amarinder Singh, visited
Ram Rahim, asking him to extend
his support to Congress. However
Dera's support to Congress alienated
the party's Sikh vote bank. But
congress party lost the election.
Before the 2014 Haryana state elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
leader Narendra Modi praised Ram Rahim in order to attract the Dera
Sacha Sauda followers. Ram Rahim supported the BJP in the state
elections. He reportedly claimed to have over 2 million followers which
lead him to win the election.
•In 2014, Ram Rahim had announced the Dera’s support
for the BJP for the Haryana Assembly Elections – the
first time the order had ever publicly supported a
political party.
•The egregious failure of the BJP-controlled Haryana
government to rein in the Dera’s rampaging supporters.
• Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh absolved Chief
Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s government of all
blame. “We can’t blame the administration, they took
precautions and it’s a democracy,” said Singh when
asked why the mob was allowed to assemble in the first
place.
