- 6. Ahmed ( CH-71) 6 Honda has been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959. The Company was taken over by the Atlas Group in 1980. From making loss in 1979, the Company has made steady progress and had since been making profit each year. Atlas Insurance Limited has very sound reinsurance arrangements with the reinsurers of the world including Swiss RE from Switzerland, Hannover RE from Germany, Tokio Fire & Nichido Marine and Sompo from Japan among others. the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year. Honda became the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001. Honda was the eighth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. A first class insurance Company that provide the highest level of quality serive to its policyholders.

- 8. Ahmed ( CH-71) 8 We saw the following process in the Atlas Honda Company. We saw the cutting shop in the starting area, the electric press cut the steel sheets. 0.8mm of steel sheets used for the making of body/frame and 0.2mm sheets is for fuel tank. These steel sheets are imported from Japan and other countries. The cutted sheets were going to the welding area. Welding area are divided in different division. Different energy sources was used for welding, including a gas flame, an electric arc. Fuel tank is made from three steel sheets. Workers manual weld the sheets, only one robot is installed for welding purpose.
- 9. Ahmed ( CH-71) 9 Degreasing Shop Parts cleaning is essential in an industrial processes,. the fuel tank is put into the concentrated acids and also put into the hot water. This process makes the tank grease free and ready to paint. Before paint, the workers coated the Metaphor in the tank. It serves as a conversion coating in which a dilute solution of phosphoric acid and phosphate salts is applied via spraying or immersion and chemically reacts with the surface of the part. These coating protect the paint from water, sunlight and radiations.
- 10. Ahmed ( CH-71) 10 Paint shop is the very costly, important and expensive part of the company. Paint is any liquid, liquefiable, or mastic composition that, after application to a substrate in a thin layer, converts to a solid film. The workers manually paint the fuel tank, chasses and other components. It is most commonly used to protect, color, or provide texture to objects. The engine shop fitted the engine’s components. The components of the engine are imported in the Japan and the western side of the Pakistan. The engine is also tested in this shop.

Ahmed ( CH-71) 11 By mechanically moving the parts to the assembly work and moving the semi-finished assembly from work station to work station, a finished product can be assembled. we saw, the components of the vehicle fitted in the chasses like wheels, fuel tanks. After completing the vehicle, the workers tested the speed, breaks, lights, sounds, jumps etc.

Ahmed ( CH-71) 12 Our suggestion ❖ We suggested that target of the company is to reduce CO2 emission in their vehicles. ❖ We suggested that the Atlas Honda improve efficiency of engine and achieving better fuel efficiency. ❖ We wish that the Honda introduced Variable Cylinder Management system in a reasonable price.
