Project Description :
Multi-Service Delivery Platform (MSDP) provides a number of default components, for
example, services, pages, and media asset types, that make it possible to create a site that includes
features such as a storefront and a unique personal home page. An entire site that provides content
adapted to different types of screens can be built by using these components. If required, additional
services and functions can easily be added.
Tools Provided by MSDP :
 Portal Composer : is the base when building sites. In this tool the site structure is
created and services providing content are added.
 Design Tool : With Design Tool the user experience for different user groups, periods
of time, and devices is designed.
 Interest Area Manager : Interest Areas are used to select the most appropriate content
to deliver to registered end users.
 3PI Manager : is a tool for web-based creation, test and management of different types
of services. It is also possible to view reports regarding service usage using this tool.
Supporting the complete service provisioning chain from provider registration to
services deployed in production, 3PI Manager includes a work flow process (including
states, actions, and rules for actions).
 Producer : is a tool used to create and manage content like text, images etc..
 Profile Tool : is used to access the Device Profile Service and to manage Device
Profiles.
 Customer Care : In case the end user encounters problems, support is provided by the
customer care personnel.
 Environment Monitor : The Environment Monitor is used for viewing and monitoring
portals, design projects, device profiles files and runtime components in the MSDP
system.
 Report Viewer : The Report Viewer tool provides reports based on logs in the portal
system.
 Administration Tool : Administration Tool is used to manage the users and roles.
MSDP user admin has the privileges to manage the user accounts and roles. The user
accounts are managed for MSDP users and API users.

Title : Caller Ring-back Tone (CRBT)

A Caller Ring-back Tone (CRBT): Also known as “Audible Ringing Tone” is the song or
sound that is heard on the telephone line by the calling party after dialing and prior to the call being
answered at the receiving end.
The requirement was to develop an application named Perl AGI (Asterisk Gateway/Dialpaln)
which acts as an API interface that takes the customer requests for an activation of RBT service
through different modes of channels: IVR, SMS, USSD, WEB/CCI, OBD and IBD. Whenever the
customer calls the call land to telecomic servers where it checks internally through the API asterisk

gateway interface that tune/RBT has activated for each person, fetch the tune details trough Perl:DBI
interface and plays for the caller until caller hangs up the phone or receiver picks up the call.

Telecom billing is a process which is done by CDR from networks (MSC, SGSN etc.). There
are various billing solution vendors which have our own application for all billing chain. The billing
mechanism supports monthly, weekly, daily, micro charging to suit every subscriber need and ensure
that there is no revenue loss for the operator.
Billing is an integrated IN based application where it acts as an interface between several
intelligent networks and client. It has a powerful API module which accepts http request from
configured clients, interact with the IN and return back to the clients, depend upon the http URL
response we will update the customer billing details along with the tune validity.
