● Ask him to introduce you to an employee
contact

○ You and contact arrange a method to give you
codes via fax, or email etc

If possible pick a specialty with the
highest average reimbursement
● Neuro/Spine; Open Heart (NP’s); Sports
Med; Plastics; Bariatrics; OBGyn; General

Find out what percentage of
surgeon’s caseload is Medicare
● Because if you’re not an NP you can’t bill Medicare,
all those cases most likely $0
● Therefore the lower the percentage the better
