Whisnant<br />Sinclair Ferguson quoting Thomas Brooks in the latest edition of the 9Marks eJournal on hell:<br />“Oh, but this word eternity, eternity, eternity; this word everlasting, everlasting, everlasting; this word forever, forever, forever, will even break the hearts of the damned in ten thousand pieces…Impenitent sinners in Hell shall have end without end, death without death, night without day, mourning without mirth, sorrow without solace, and bondage without liberty. The damned shall live as long in Hell as God himself shall live in heaven.”  Makes me want to weep… and preach.<br />3AGOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS REQUIRED BY FAITH;  VS. 22<br />Even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe for there is no distinction  NASB<br /> Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. kjv<br />This righteousness is bestowed upon us freely by God Himself; it is not only given “unto” us as a portion, but is put “upon” us as a garment.  Revelation 3:18. Without this, we are robbed a place of everything of vaule, despoiled, of our innocence, and exposed to shame, as our first parents were upon the introduction of sin, but as they were covered by the skins of their sacrifices according to the direction of God Himself had given them Genesis 3;7, 21; so are we by “putting of the Lord Jesus:” Romans 13;14, when clothed with His righteousness, can even God Himself behold a spot or blemish in us; Ephesians 5:27.  <br />THROUGH1223 (by) the vehicle or means by which one obtains the righteousness of GOD is FAITH.<br />FAITH 4102  or trust or belief and is the conviction of the truth of anything.<br />How does a person get right with God?  He believes what God said He would do: by faith.
The conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things as well as the One who gives eternal life through Christ.Our study on Sunday Evening on TRUE FAITH vs. FAKE FAITH in Philippians.  True faith tends to last, were as false faith tends to be momentary.<br />SAVING FAITH, or belief means utter confidence on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior from our sins or only hope for heaven. SAVING FAITH is  a personal trust  in Jesus Christ as a living person for forgiveness of sins and for eternal life with God.<br />JESUS CHRIST<br />Faith is only as good as the object, and in this case the object is the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:12; 3:15;8:24; 20:31).IT IS  PROVIDED FOR ALL  Vs. 22<br />UNTO ALL AND UPON ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE<br />The provision is made to anyone who believes.   Romans 4:11.Anyone who believes can be saved.     This act doesinvolve the consent of one’s mind, but also results in an act of the heart and will of the subject who exercises this faith.

    The bible neversays that men are saved on account of their faith in Christ.
