Rotary - dynamic partner of Rotaract
Rotary and Rotaract have a dynamic relationship where Rotary sponsors Rotaract clubs for young professionals ages 18 to 30. Rotaract started in 1968 and clubs are community or university based, sponsored by local Rotary clubs. The relationship involves Rotarians and Rotaractors attending each other's meetings, mentoring one another, and undertaking service projects jointly. They also share successful projects, hold fellowship events together, and work on communications to promote one another and their achievements in the community.

- 3. How it allbegan… The first Rotary Club in 1905 was founded by Paul Harris, an attorney who started a group for professional fellowship but quickly found that purpose too small. The Rotary name derived from the early practice of rotating meetings among members' offices.

- 5. The Rotary Foundation In1928 the Rotary Foundation was established and is now a global force for peace, health and wellbeing in the world. For example, it is a key partner in the global project it initiated to eradicate polio (amongst other amazing contributions).

- 7. Rotaract Rotaract started in1968. It is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club.
