- 3. 3 Key Components of Our Work • Community Involvement Program – Support the aspirations of our partners to engage in meaningful and biologically sound projects and processes that result in real benefits to fish and fish habitat – CA’s = conduit between community and Department – Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, Mainland inlets; 5 CA’s approx. 120 partnership groups
- 4. 4 Key Components of our Work • Resource Restoration – Restoration of Aquatic habitats (“earth moving” projects) – Inspection and maintenance of existing projects – Support to Strategic Watershed Planning – Support to our colleagues in DFO
