This paper investigates the seismic response of reinforced concrete buildings with various arrangements of steel bracing systems, particularly focusing on diagonal, V-type, inverted V-type, and X-type bracing. The analysis, conducted on a seven-storey building in seismic zone III using STAAD Pro V8i software, reveals that the X-type bracing significantly enhances structural stiffness and reduces lateral displacement compared to other bracing types. Key findings indicate reductions in lateral displacement and storey drift by up to 56%, and an increase in base shear, highlighting the efficiency of steel bracing systems for improving seismic performance.
