The paper presents a novel design framework comprising a four-layer architecture aimed at enhancing sensor signal processing for Internet of Things (IoT) applications using high-level synthesis. It emphasizes the need for reduced footprints and optimized resource consumption in sensor devices through the use of dynamically reconfigurable processors and an extended database management function. Experimental results indicate that the proposed approach leads to significant reductions in layout size and power consumption, beneficial for embedding processing elements in sensor devices.
