- 2. A/B Test A/B Test is the practice of creating two software programs, documents or websites that are nearly the same for the purpose of determining which design or copy variation produces the better result. Often used in PPC marketing, (such as Google AdSense and Bing Ads), occasionally used in organic SEO.
- 3. Backlink Backlink, also known as incoming link, inbound link, inlink, or inward link, is a link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node.
- 4. Cache Cache is a component that transparently stores data so that future requests for that data can be served faster.
- 5. Dead Link Dead Link is also known as broken link or dangling link.
- 6. External Link External Link is a hyperlink that is a reference or navigation element in a document inside the website or domain to another document outside the website or domain of the Internet. Generally, it refers to a link that points to another page outside the same domain.
- 7. Facebook Facebook is a social networking service owned and operated by Facebook, Inc.
- 8. Google Analytics Google Analytics is a analytics tool and service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visits to a website.
- 9. Hidden Text Hidden Text is a form of content spam technique that computer text is displayed in such a way as to be invisible or unreadable. Hidden text is most commonly achieved by setting the font color to the same color as the background, rendering the text invisible unless the user highlights it.
- 10. Inbound Link/Incoming Link Inbound Link is also known as backlink, incoming link, inlink, or inward link.
- 11. JavaScript JavaScript (sometimes abbreviated JS) is a prototype- based scripting language that is dynamic, weakly typed and has first-class functions. It is a multi- paradigm language, supporting object-oriented, imperative, and functional programming styles. JavaScript was formalized in the ECMAScript language standard and is primarily used in the form of client- side JavaScript, implemented as part of a Web browser in order to create enhanced user interfaces and dynamic websites. This enables programmatic access to computational objects within a host environment.
- 12. Keyword Keyword is a word or phrase that you type on a computer keyboard in order to find information about a particular subject, or a search engine user might use to find relevant web pages.
- 13. Link Spam Link Spam is defined as links between pages that are present for reasons other than merit. Link spam takes advantage of link- based ranking algorithms (such as HITS algorithm), which gives websites higher rankings the more other highly ranked websites links to it.
- 14. Metadata Metadata is defined as data providing information about one or more aspects of the data, such as means of creation of the data, purpose of the data, time and date of creation, creator or author of data, location on a computer network where the data was created, and standards used.
- 15. Nofollow by adding rel=“nofollow” to a hyperlink, a page signals that the hyperlink’s destination should not be ranked by search engines.
- 16. Organic Search Result Organic Search Result is a listing on search engine results page (SERP) that appears because of its relevance to the search terms, as opposed to its being advertisements. In contrast, non-organic search results may include pay per click advertising.

PageRank PageRank is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry Page and used by the Google Internet search engine, that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of "measuring" its relative importance within the set. - 18. QR Algorithm QR Algorithm is an eigenvalue algorithm that is a procedure to calculate the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix.
- 19. Rich Snippets Rich Snippets are a new presentation of snippets that applies Google search engine's algorithms to highlight structured data embedded in web pages.
- 20. Search Engine Optimization Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results (SERP).
- 21. Title Tag Title Tag is a string of text defines the title of the document, it is required in all HTML documents. Title tag is visible in both a title bar of browser window and a search engine results page (SERP), as well as it is also in the page when it is added to favorites.
- 22. URL Redirection URL Redirection, also known as URL forwarding, is a World Wide Web technique for making a web page available under more than one URL address.
- 23. Viral Marketing Viral Marketing is the marketing techniques that use social networks and other technologies to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives through self-replicating viral processes.
- 24. White Hat White Hat describes the use of techniques that follow the guidelines of a search engine.
- 25. XML XML is an acronym for Extensible Markup Language.
- 26. YouTube YouTube is the largest video sharing community and platform, on which users can upload, view and share videos. YouTube uses Adobe Flash Video and HTML5 technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos.
