Job Description: The SharePoint Architect serves as the primary individual for analysis, design, development, deployment, and overall project management for SharePoint (MOSS). This position requires expert knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Architecture and a working knowledge of related technologies such as: SQL Server 200x, Internet Information Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office desktop application integration with SharePoint. A demonstrated ability to manage a large scale deployment of SharePoint and integrate other technologies is necessary. The SharePoint Architect analyzes the Institution's information architecture, understands institutional and departmental requirements, to design and develop organizational taxonomies, policies, procedures, and solutions. The candidate works closely with developers to provide custom solutions as necessary. This individual must be highly motivated in this area of computing in order to stay current with present trends and activities. The incumbent will function well as a leader and team member for assigned projects. Strong .Net development skills (C#) and demonstrated web part/customization experience is a must.
