ODI (Oracle Data Integrator): ODI is an integration tool which is used to integrate data across heterogeneous and disparate sources to a DWH or any target defined as per the requirement. ODI is based on ETL architecture, which provides dynamic userinterface and integration process. ODIcanconnectto various applications, databases and technologies like databases,flat file and XML to name a few.ODIhas its own UIknown as ODIStudio in which all the integration process can be defined and the logs of the execution can be easily managed .ODI also provides a web based console where all the data lineage of the process can be seen. During my tenure,I wasinvolved in the implementation, support and maintenance of ODIin which the role I was designated were developer, consultant and support analyst. OBIEE: OBIEE is a web based tool in which user can build his own dashboard, views, ad-hoc queries, notifications and alerts as per the requirement. It includes the decision support systems, activities on OLAP (Online Analytical Processing),analytics, data mining, data warehousing and reporting. It is a tool used for querying the analysis, reporting using the data, developing reports and dashboards for decision support system. The tool is helpful for the users to analyse trend, prediction analysis and for decision making purpose from business perspective. AGILE/JIRA: JIRAis a lightweight webbasedtool used for issue and tasktracking basedon AGILE methodology for software development. The fundamental unit for this methodology is a task and these tasks are organised, allocated, scheduled and tracked. It helps the team to deliver a higher level of quality code more quickly, more frequently and in better alignment with what customers really want. SQL Developer: SQL developer is a tool used to work with SQL in Oracle databases. It’s an Oracle integrated development environment that simplifies the development and management of Oracle Database in both traditional and cloud deployments. Ltd Senior Software Engineer Project I Data Integration Client: PRAXAIR USA Description: Praxair is a global Fortune 300 company that supplies The Company’s world-class engineering organization designs, engineers and constructs cryogenic and non-cryogenic supply systems around the world. This Data Integration Project wherein the data was being fetched from heterogeneous sources such as Flat files, SQLserver,JDEto targetDWHdatabase.Data inDWHare then used for reporting via OBIEE reporting tool. Different Modules Involved in the Project: Analysing the inputs: The specification document were properly analysed. Preparing Detailed Design Document: After analysing the input low level and high level design document were prepared. The flow and sequence were provided in the same document. Code Development: Developing the code as per the design document prepared. Unit Testing: Unit testing the code to check the functionality and worked on the anomalies while testing the code. Migration: Was involved in migrating the code across several environments and performed sanity check on the code migrated Change Requests: Worked on the problem request and change requests that we got in the project and implementing the changesin the current code as per user inputs and requirements.
