This document describes a smart bus ticket reservation system that uses near field communication (NFC) technology to allow passengers to reserve and purchase tickets on buses while maintaining social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The system uses an NFC reader and card to identify passengers and deduct fares from preloaded balances. It allocates seats considering social distancing norms and can store passenger images for contact tracing purposes. The system aims to automate bus ticketing and allow paperless, reusable tickets to make the process more efficient and reduce human contact.
