This document provides an overview and data from client engagements on the Smarter Legal Model. It summarizes key performance indicators measured for 250 leading legal departments, such as coverage (50% on average), compliance (several incidents on average), client satisfaction (7/10 on average), head count (<X on average) and net cost (>$Y million on average). Typical improvements achieved under the Smarter Legal Model are then shown. Charts display data on measurements of these key areas. A real world example is given of a company that overspent on legal costs due to lack of controls and coverage, but was able to save up to one third of costs by rationalizing law firms and improving processes.
