Dear Nan,
We are having a great a holiday here on the Gold Coast. Yesterday we went to the Movie World.
When we got up in the morning, it looked like rain. After a while the cloud disappeared. And it
became a sunny day. We then decided to go to the Movie World.
The first ride I went on was Lethal Weapon. Next I saw the Police Academy show. After that I had
lunch as I was really hungry. Meanwhile, Mum and Kelly queued for the Batman ride.

First, put flour, salt, pepper, and chili powder in a plastic bag and shake to mix.

ALFRED NOBEL
After inventing dynamite, Swedish-born Alfred Nobel became a very rich man. However, he
foresaw its universally destructive power is too late. Nobel preferred not to be remembered as the
inventor of dynamite, so in 1895, just two weeks before his death, he created a fund to be used for
awarding prizes to people who had made worthwhile contributions to humanity. Originally, there
were five awards literature, physics, chemistry, medicine, and peace. Economics was added in 1968,
just sixty seven years after the first award ceremony.
Nobel’s original legacy of nine million dollars was invented, and the interest on this sum is
used for the awards which vary from $ 30.000 to $ 125.000.
Every year on December 10, the anniversary of Nobel’s death, the awards (gold medal,
illuminated diploma, and money) are presented to the winners. Sometimes politics play an important
role in the judgments and decisions. Americans have won numerous science awards, but relatively
few literature prizes.
No awards were presented from 1940 to 1942at the beginning of World War II. Some people

under the bill. When the woman opened the bill, tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart
prayed,” Thank you, God, that your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands.”
