of improving the quality of life and
economic well- being of people
living in rural areas

Main importance of rural
development is to
improved rural creation and
productivity, higher socio-economic
equality, ambition, stability in social
and economic development
Characteristics of Rural area
• They have many
general characteristics, such as: A
small population size. A smaller
choice when it comes to shopping,
medical services, and so on. No
competition among the rural people.
Lack of education and awareness.
Strategies of Rural development
• In rural communities, there are number of
aspects that need to be developed. These
include,
• education
• employment opportunities,
• agriculture and farming practices,
administration and management,
infrastructure and health care facilities
Objectives of Rural development
1.The basic objectives of Rural
Development Program to reduce poverty
and unemployment through creation of
basic social and economic infrastructure,
provision of training to rural unemployed
youth and providing employment to
marginal Farmers/Labourers to discourage
seasonal and permanent migration to
urban places.

human society. Basically the
