This document discusses how KPN, the largest Dutch telecommunications provider, implemented Splunk Enterprise to gain operational intelligence across their infrastructure and improve service quality. They created a centralized data lake using Splunk to aggregate operational data from over 60 sources. This has provided insights to 250 active users through over 500 dashboards. Lessons learned include starting with a well-designed architecture and proof of concept. Future plans include expanding Splunk's scope across KPN and integrating with other tools. The top takeaway is to focus on quick wins to demonstrate Splunk's capabilities.
