“ Soul Rescue Service” is a term used here to designate those involved in Campus Crusade for Christ who accept the Great Commission. They have been led by the Holy Spirit of God to go and to teach about Jesus to a lost world, especially their world of contacts on campus or where ever they may be.

God’s plan was to have Adam and Eve enjoy fellowship with Him in the Garden of Eden. Satan entered. This eventually led to the flood and a “reset” for humanity through Noah and his family. Satan attacked again with sin. God sent an answer—His Son. Those who accept Him live forever. Those who reject Him suffer forever in the lake of fire.

Approximately 80% of the American people do not know Jesus. All will die, one or more, perhaps very soon, perhaps today. You may have a friend or relative who will die today or this week.

Do you know how to help these people open their lives to Jesus so they can live forever in heaven instead of dying forever in the lonely agony of hell?

Always Pray before the encounter, if you know it is coming. Pray during the encounter. Pray after the encounter. Pray at the start of your day that the Lord would guide you to use this training today and every day. Ask others to be praying for God’s protection of you and your family— you are going to war . Also ask them to pray for the success of your ministry to the lost. Read and study your Bible every day. Take it with you. Attend a good church which teaches the whole Bible . Listen to good Bible teachers and preachers daily.

Remember Telling someone about Jesus is the most loving thing you can do for another person other than dying for her or him. Jesus already did the dying. Our job is to do the next most loving thing.

In the previous slide you saw a group of planes flying peacefully through sunny skies. You may be “flying” alone as far as other human colleagues are concerned for a time. If you are really “over the target” the skies will be cloudy, stormy, and they will be filled with spiritual flak. Strap it up. Get ready. Pray up. Gear up. (Spiritual armor in Eph. 6) Memorize the needed verses (your weapons.) Get ready for what can be the greatest ride of your life.

The slide which follows talks about the “Follow-Up Process.” It means the process which follows a contact made which lets you know that someone may be interested in receiving more information on how to develop a personal saving relationship with Jesus.

The Follow-Up Process Pray, confessing your sin. Pray for the Lost. Pray for a way to get to the persons on your follow-up list (phone, email, etc.) Offer the message via email (recommend www.EveryStudent.com .) Meet, if possible, to go over the message using a version of The 4 Spiritual Laws.

Helping to turn lost students and others into Christ-centered laborers who will help reach the lost to help turn them into Christ-centered laborers who will help reach, etc. Always Pray for the Lost, your family, for your Crusade colleagues, for yourself, Ask for God’s protection and that His will will be done in all of these lives Remember: WE do not do the “turning.” Remember: The Holy Spirit does the “turning.” The least important word in the above is “ yourself.” We are all replaceable.

Relax The Triune God is in charge of the process. God is on duty 24/7/365 We have been blessed to have one part in a series of encounters which can bring a person to saving faith in Christ. Our job is to live the Great Commission Go, teach, baptize, teach more about Jesus.

Items listed on the previous slide are worthy causes. Our cause is to rescue the lost. We cannot be deterred into fighting the temporary battles when the eternal war is where we are ordered to be serving. We must be obedient to Jesus, our Commander.
