- 2. Your instructors are <NAME1> and <NAME2>. <NAME1> has been with Houston Community College since <YEAR> and has been in the Distance Education Department since <YEAR>. As Instructional Designer and Learning Management System Administrator, <NAME1> manages and supports the system used for online and hybrid courses, provides faculty training and development, and assists faculty in developing online courses.
- 3. <NAME2> is an Instructional Designer in the Distance Education Department at HCC. She works with faculty to design and develop instructionally sound online and hybrid courses. She has been with HCC since <YEAR>. <NAME2> is an Instructional Designer in the Distance Education Department at HCC. In this course, you'll learn how to use Instructure Canvas, which is HCC’s learning management system (LMS).This course is required for all faculty members who will teach online or hybrid classes and also for faculty members who will use Canvas to facilitate their face-to-face classes. This is an online course, which has required online activities with deadlines. As part of this course, you will build the Start Here Module and first two modules of your online, hybrid, or web-enhanced course.Those modules must be completed in order for you to receive credit for this course.
