DOW is a speciality chemical manufacturer of biocides, used throughout industry in paints,
cosmetics, petrochemicals, wood and water treatment. Working as a member of a multi
disciplinary shift team, my role ensures the quality and integrity of all site products are
maintained.
 Liase with DCS control operators to highlight potential quality issues and
minimise rework and waste.
 Communicate with shift supervision to report any issues.
 Technical and analytical support for the biocides process team.
 Working to corporate procedures, for analysis using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis
spectroscopy and wet analysis.
 Testing raw, intermediate and finished products as well as environmental
samples.
 Calibration and maintenance of the laboratory instruments
