INTRODUCTION TO STEREOTYPE:
 A stereotype is a mistaken idea or belief many people have
about a thing or group that is based upon how they look on
the outside Which may be untrue or only Party true.
Stereotype people is a type of prejudice because what is on
the outside is a small part of who a person is.
DEFINITION
 A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a
particular type of person or thing
 An ethnic stereotype ( National stereotype, or national
character is a system of beliefs about typical characteristics
of members of a given ethnic group or nationality their
status, society and cultural norms
 Based on beliefs, knowledge and expectations, they often
have moral and judgemental overtones, which are generally
viewed as derogatory and offensive.
EXAMPLE:
To understand different examples of stereotypes you
should first define what a stereotype is, any time
you grouping races or individuals together and
make a judgement about them without knowing
them, this is an example of a stereotype, racial
remarks, sexual remarks, and gender remarks are
the biggest stereotypes.
