This paper discusses the migration from the proprietary library management software Libsys to the open-source Koha at the Biju Patnaik Central Library, NIT Rourkela, highlighting Koha's features, implementation, and RFID integration. The study outlines the objectives, methodology, and challenges faced during the transition, including data migration and customization processes. Ultimately, it emphasizes the advantages of using open-source software for library management, suggesting that Koha has significantly improved the library's operations despite some ongoing issues.
