Teaching approaches are sets of principles about learning translated into the classroom. Teaching methods are systematic steps for conducting learning activities. Teaching techniques are specific steps a teacher uses to accomplish objectives. Teaching strategies are precise methods for approaching tasks or achieving goals. Examples of each are provided, such as constructivist approaches, activity methods, dramatization techniques, and think-pair-share strategies. Consistency in teaching can be achieved by aligning one's approach, method, technique, and strategy. A variety of teaching methods are outlined.
