The telecom industry in Pakistan has experienced rapid growth and investment over the past decade due to reforms and privatization. Mobile phone subscriptions have increased dramatically, with 95.54 million subscribers as of July 2009. The five major mobile network operators are Mobilink, Ufone, Warid, Telenor, and Zong. Mobilink has the largest market share at 31% as of 2010. Ufone is a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecom. Telenor entered the market in 2005 and has become the second largest network.
